thats way cheaper than I thought it would be... rofl when it comes out, Lexus fans are going to talk so much shit to the E9X M3 because the IS-F is like 5-10k cheaper lol... can't wait

I don't think Lexus fans would necessarily do that, i'm sure the few fanboys would talk shit just like any other fanboys of any brand. But i doubt that BMW loyal fans would care that the ISF would be cheaper, but it might just be around 5-10k cheaper than the M3. Remember this is not official yet, but it does sound reasonable and realistic if they want to be competitive against the German counterparts.

+1. As I have said before this "feature" of the IS-F is downright embarrasing. It is enough of a reason for me to not consider the car on my "short list" as well. What in the hell were they thinking?

Anyway, does Lexus not real compete with Mercedes more so than BMW, if so then compared to C63 the IS-F is keenly priced. |

First of all it's not fake and it is connected. The famous pic from Edmunds that showed the exhaust not being connected was a prototype. The actual production is connected and it is actually four exhaust tips.

$56K, wow that's a very good price. If you can live without the Navigation, Mark Levinson and other useless toys, that undercuts a similarly equipped M3 by what? I estimate $10K. Even at $60K with the ML/Nav it still is a great price.

From Road and Track
"In general, the changes made to the IS F's exterior — including upper and lower wire-mesh grilles, new front and rear fascias, side skirts, a rear wing and those fancy dark-gray wheels — are tasteful and appropriate for the flashier image of the car. With two exceptions: The first, the air vents that jut from the wider front fenders; these outlets supposedly vent hot air from the engine, but, looking at the small holes, they can't possibly be functional enough to warrant their gaudiness. The second, and an even more flagrant styling faux pas, are the stacked quad exhausts. Personally, I liked them, until I knelt down to get a closer look and realized they were completely fake — behind them lie the four real peashooter outlets! " This is from a test car that Road and Track actually performed a road test on. Sounds like they are fake... its a pretty big detail to leave out if that is the case.... Jason
