Same info that you got, that production will start. No specific time set that I'm aware of.

Considering the statement you made above about rasp control can you shed some light on why the Akra + Catless/Non-resonated RPi x-pipe combo in this video is one of the raspiest set-ups I've heard to date?

Hahaha I agree, that my car is raspy as hell during first of the morning cold starts. After it gets to temp or you've driven it for awhile, you don't hear that anymore. It's really deep toned in person, and only a little rasp comes along when I floor it. Trust me, for some reason the video exaggerates the raspiness (must be the mic on my camera)...in person, it sounds really good.

We have tried many of the suggestions that are being made here 3 years ago with this system. It was a part of the R&D process to see what works and what doesn't work. I will reiterate that the Velaforza mid-section is designed to be paired with a rear section that was initially designed to be used with a high performance mid-section. Brands like Eisenmann, BMW MPE, AE and the like are not meant to be used with mid-sections like this. Brands like Akrapovic, the MRF rear section (no longer in production), Dinan, Active Autowerke can use this type of system. However, the two best systems I have experienced with this mid-section for tonal control have been the Akrapovic and the MRF. The stock rear section is the worst of them all in terms of rasp and simply being wild, but I will admit, after 4500 RPM, it is just shy of sounding like a true high revving race car and rather beautiful. Unfortunately we don't live at 4500 RPM's + all the time.

Here is a video of the MRF mid + MRF Rear.

I'm sorry but that couldn't be more wrong. Put an exhaust on an M car (any m car) w/out resonators and then add 2 resonators to the system and the rasp is reduced almost 95%. There's a reason why in the e46 world the section w/ resonators sold are called "rasp terminators" (certain brand). This car is the same.

I have been through over maybe 8 diff exhaust setups in the past year and the resonators are what maintains the rasp.

It never hit the prerequisite 10 ordered units. Malek decided that at some point and time in the future, they're going to produce them, but didn't set a date.

We are moving forward with the production of this system for this coming spring. Thank you to everyone for the constant interest in this system.

I heard there is one coming for sale shortly in SoCal. Apparently the owner wants cats and will swap for an Akra Evo X pipe.

i think removing resonators more so unlocks true engine noise, if the engine tends to be more on the raspy side you get more rasp. i think these little M motors are by nature on the raspy side on things to begin with.

i was running long tube headers, no mufflers, no resonators on my V8 camaro. that thing was very deep and smooth sounding. no raspy sounds. those engines by nature are not raspy.

Great news, Malek. I'm curious who you ended up going with for your fabrication. Any chance you are going to come out with a HFC or resonated version? Maybe if built to order?

Wizegi, when you don't quote the person from whom you want a response, they won't get a notification to respond. Why don't you try shooting Malek@MRF a private message.... (or quote him here in this thread).

Weird. I replied to this hours ago. Guess it didn't post. Anyway, unfortunately I won't be coming to the shift sector event (or the speed district track event the very next day). I definitely want to come out soon though. Next time.

Besides you have MRF's mid-pipe on your car. Everyone can hear yours scream. That is, unless you're bringing the P-car.

Quick question, what tune is Malek running that took him over 400hp on NA? Also does any one in norcal have this midpipe? I'd love to hear it in person

I wanted to bring both cars but my brother couldn't make it work. So I'm just bringing the p-car.

Besides, our cars sound way better from the outside compared to hearing it from the cabin.
