Let's a lot of us don't take our cars to the track...the moonroof is so convenient...the extra 12 lbs. or so that you save from the carbon fiber roof is so worthless....having the moonroof on a sunny breezy day feels way better....and for my color Melbourne Red, I think the moonroof looks better anyways

It's 40lbs I think, and that may be just over the all-steel roof.

if you want both the CF roof and moonroof IND sells a CF roof with space for it, not cheap though but if you really want itll be worth it.

The CF roof is 11lbs lighter than the all steel roof and the glass moonroof is 33lbs (complete with wiring and everything), for a total difference of 44lbs.

Whoop-dee-doo, Basil!

44lbs is quite a bit. I miss using the sunroof. Thank god my DD has a sunroof. I find myself using it almost all the time I'm in the car. Just shows I DO miss the sunroof.

Never realized how rare they are with sunroofs. Would like to revive thread hoping to see other modded AW's without CF roofs!

Interesting to see how sentiment toward the moonroof has changed since these cars were new. Nowadays it seems most people here think of the moonroof as a deal-breaker while back then it was a desirable feature. I personally love my moonroof and while I don't open it very often, I always leave the cover open and really appreciate the additional light and airy feel it brings to the cabin.

I'm glad to see there's love for the moon roof on coupes. I'm still on the fence about the one on mine.

When buying my E92, I specifically looked for a moonroof. Can't have a car w/o one. Natural light and open air!
