47 cars in 3 colours is very far from being unique.The car that I am being offered to replace my M3 with at this moment has 2 cars coming to Canada.That is a unique car not 47 of a dress up package with no performance improvement that is $16000 over a normally ordered M3.That just does not make any sense to me as somebody that tracks his car and uses the performance that is offered.

Actually, I kind of understand what you mean now.

Except the interior in the edition, everything else is customizeable on the individual edition.

It was a pity, as first year buyers -all of us did not have any individual or edition model choices!

It does, yet amazingly doesn't have the HG black rims!!

I really liked the Dakar Edition with the CFR - however I would be nervous of future value (based on general appeal), and how it might 'date' the appearance of the car in a few years time..........

"47" and "Exclusive" was a term pieced together by the head of 'M' marketing in Germany when I emailed her asking how many had been allocated for Canada on a customers request. Not my words, but I guess BMW feels its exclusive enough
