A new noise thread
So today I was driving home from work and suddenly my m3 starts to make a wierd noise when accelerating. I tested when I am at idle and not moving no noise what so ever or when moving and I let the car in neutral ( I have a 6mt by the way ). But when accelerating when stopped or moving I hear a noise coming from the exhaus or transmission... I can't tell which exactly and sound like a rattle too plus I could allmost fell something rattling under the car, something like metal on metal I can't even describe what this is... I am very nervous about this problem when 2 weeks ago I got my car back from the service for the second time with an edc failure... I'm loosing my patience with this car even tho I am a bmw fan... I am taking the car into service tomorrow, I'll let you guys know how it went...

Yep, keep us informed. If its something that just started it might be as simple as you picked up a rock and its stuck in a tire or maybe there is a dead raccoon hanging from your exhaust....who knows

Sorry no clip... tonight I went for a short drive so I could get an audio clip but after a few miles I had a dsc failure and tpms failure posted on the idrive... got really mad about that but after 500m all was well... So I started to push the car really hard and the noise shortly went away, but I still am taking it in the morning to the dealer...
It couldn't have been any small rock or dead rackon because the car also had a small vibration to it, also I could hear the noise only from the inside... |
