Question Status 112?

I am still status 112 on my M3 coupe w/DCT and 19's. Can someone tell me at what point do I stop worrying about getting pushed back? Any more experienced folks care to breaak it down (status numbers and when things are pretty much a foregone conclusion- meaning production imminent and won't get pushed back).

Thanks...

I believe that you are still at risk of being bumped. Status 150, scheduled fro productiuon, is what you want.

Well for me it was weird. I was on order one day with my dealer telling me I could very well get pushed back and then two days later I was in production. So maybe they are beginning to solve the problem and getting in as many cars as possible.

What is your estimated production date? Get this from you CA. If you haven't been pushed back yet, chances are you won't be. I was 112 for 3 weeks. When you flip to 150 you are in production.

Greg,

I sure hope your right about chances of not slipping. As of today, I am still at 111 with a Conf. Production Week of 10/03 and a Expected Delivery Week of 11/03. Hopefully everything stays just like it is this late in the game...only 14 working days left until my M3 is scheduled to be in production.

I received my production number on 2/8/08 and just went to 112 status this morning on the Owners Circle. I didn't order the DCT or 19" wheels. Is that an indicator of me moving up?

If your 112 does it say Scheduled for Production on the Owners Circle's order tracking?

I only checked the Owners Circle where it does say 'Scheduled for Production'. I have not been contacted by my dealership or called the 1800 number. I just assumed I was 112 since it was updated in the Owners Circle and it seems the OC is usually the last thing to be updated. Should I not assume I am 112?

Im pretty sure you are 112 and dont have anything to worry about. I placed my order on 1/31 and it still says On Order when i check Owners Circle...so i guess im still 111 status. You hit 112 from 111 pretty fast...

did you order 19" wheels and/or DCT? I'm happy my order seems to be moving quickly, but feel bad for everyone who is getting set back.

I also have a question on this same topic. after having read a good post on what each status means, it said that once you go to 112, you're only a few days away from going into production. is that accurate? i am 112 according to the bmw phone line. also, does any of this matter, meaning, will any of the US-bound M3s get delivered prior to official launch in late March? the bmw folks on the line told me they will all be held at port until launch.

I was status 112 for 3 weeks. It will vary, but probably more than 1 week. This is the period when the parts are ordered in for your car. Have your CA do a vehicle inquiry and see what the scheduled production week is. There is a line on the report that should say something like, "Conf. Prod: 2008/02/08", which means it is scheduled to be produced in February 2008, Week 8. Production would be complete by the following week.

Word is that vehicles arriving early will be held at the VPC and shipped to arrive at the dealers just before the March 8 Launch date.

interesting. the woman on the owners circle phone line quoted march 24 as launch date. also, is anyone picking up at Spartanburg and would that negatively impact delivery date?

We have at least three separate confimrations from BMWUSA of March 8, unless something has recently changed.

VPC should be scheduled at Status 112. They are not doing hardly any deliveries there during April due to dealer events, so yes, it could delay your delivery.

I added the power rear shade today, and when my rep made the change I went from week 11 to week 10 production!

I just checked my order which used to be week 11 production. It's now week 10, so it seems that BMW has built in some slack into the production schedules. I didn't modify my order.

I just got off the phone with BMW NA. I am now status 112. I have a confirmed production date for Week 10(first full week of March) with M-DCT and 19's. So it looks like they've ramped up the production of some wheels.

You lucked out. How did you manage to get BMW NA to give you a status #. They keep telling me they don't have that information !!!!

It's a hit and miss with the people on the phone. Some will tell you everything you want to know. Others won't. Today, the first guy I spoke with told me he was not allowed to disclose order status numbers. I called back and spoke with another guy, who told me what it was...
