Great wheels for whoever buys this set of Advans. Picking one up here myself.
You are partially correct. The original TE37 is a 1 piece full forged aluminum wheel and the TE37 SL is also a forged wheel. It undergoes two types of forging.

Here is Rays Japan listing the SL as a forged wheel.

http://www.rays-msc.com/wheels/index.cgi?d=106

And EAS's explanation...

http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...k-te37sl-wheel

There is a trend of non- owners on m3post that go by hearsay and what others post and over time we see things that are totally false.

The ADVAN wheels have been a cast wheel since way back but are still just as good for daily driving, commuting, and track application.

I have had over 50 sets of forged and cast wheels since being in the scene since 1991.

To me ADVAN and Volk wheels are equal and I have had full forged 1 piece Volk wheels crack faster that my older cast RG2s.

Anyway I am not here to argue but to give my observation.

Anyway bump for some sick wheels..
Volk racing is suppose to be a mono-block forged wheel series of Rays... On my G2s their is monoblock on them, How come it is not forged for te37sl? To me, Flow forged and rotary forged are just "nice wording" for cast wheels... Nonetheless, advan wheels are still awesome...

Everything I've read about the SL state they are form forged which is not exactly the same as forged like the monoblocks etc. But this edmunds article seems to indicate that they are forged so I don't know.

http://www.edmunds.com/scion/fr-s/20...eels.html.html

Either way I'm looking forward to getting the Advans next week. GL with the sale OP.

Nice. Are you getting these exact wheels? Good Edmunds article.

I like ADVAN wheels and would trade my original TE37s for these in a heartbeat.

I can't believe these are still around. These are brand new, typically sell for around $2900, and are honestly one of the best looking wheels available for the M3. I have had 10 different sets of wheels and my Black TC3's have gotten the most compliments out of all of them. They look very aggressive and bad A$$. See my photos on Page 1.
