Rear fog light mod...

Hey everybody... i was just messing around with my car one day with the rear fog light switch... i took everything apart... and noticed that people were doing the lego mod trick... but i have a buddy that works next door to where i work... and i showed him the piece that is require to activate the lights... and he said shit i can make this... so he made one for me... and i was like... i wonder if anybody on the forums would be interested in buying this part if he made more...

he was thinkin about charging about 20 bucks for the piece... and i was enclosed a diy paper with it... will people be interested on the forums... if so... he said he want's at least 5 people... cheaper if more people... are on this...

anybody interested???... it's alot cheaper then gettin the euro switches...

If I understand it right, the stock US unit has the switches already there. They are just blanked off. So, if you can activate them and keep the same unit, you could save some $. I have already replaced mine, but that sounds like a worthwhile endeavor. Go for it!

So if I'm understanding this right, the rear lights already have a fog light and the switch is in the car already, just blanked out?

What does it look like inside the car with a new switch? I want to see pics

But Dont you need that Extra Button for the Rear Fog to push it and Turn it on? OR
does the Botton already come like that in the US M3 or are they different! The ones
I have seen people change, they have 2 Fog Buttons on the right. Is this how the Stock
US M3 comes with and all you need is the Lego Piece to activate it?

basically what i made is the button is actually there... just design not to move... so i modify it so it becomes a button, and not a stationary piece... and also you need to make something like some of the people on the forum are doing using lego peices, or you can purchase my part, and just drop it in... and that's pretty much it...
the switch that people do change... yes u will have 2 switches on ur m3... i can make it so ur stock one does the same thing... just without the logos... but u guy's don't have front fogs... so it won't do anything...

lego and my switch are the alternate way... but right now i just figured out from nabil's car... that there are led's in ur circuit boards that is able to light up... so i'm goin to create a drop in logo switch, with the activate button for the m3's... that will cost less the dealership will charge... that's the only thing different from the euro switch and the us m3 switch... (lucky ass m3's... the non m3's are different)...

So 20 bucks and the rear fogs work? Am I understanding this correctly?

I just want it to back tailgaters the F off instead of using my brakes to do it.

As tempting it is to use this to piss off tailgaters, if a cop sees you use them at night, you could get a ticket. Happened to my cousin. I will more than likey get it anyway....
