Hey All,

Long time forum cruiser/lurker/observer. I've been part of the BMW family for the last six years with a 2005 530i. I love the car as a daily driver, and it has treated me very well. It's also helped me to fall in love with BMW even more.

My first memory of BMW is my dad driving home a 1998 Blk/Blk 528i, and I was so excited I slept in the passenger seat that night. My family history with BMW goes far back though, with both my parents having e28/e30's prior to getting married.

I've decided on my next car, and I'm happy to announce I'll be joining the M family with a 2012 E92 M3.

The car is in Oregon, and I'll be flying up there this week to drive it back down to Southern California along Highway 1 with a friend.

The car has 30k miles and is under warranty until December.

Any suggestions on things to look for? I'm having the car done with a PPI, and figure with the remaining warranty I should be fairly covered.

Also, any suggestions for specific stops, or routes when heading down the coast?

Should be a great ride in both regards, and I should have a bunch of great pictures for you guys upon my return.

Excited to gather and hopefully contribute more information to the forum.

I like the JB. I purchased my baby on November, so I have yet to see it in the 'summer sun' but its a really sweet color. Depending on the light, it either looks dark black or dark blue/purplish.

Congratulations! As a new E90M owner myself I think you will be very happy!

I think HWY 1 between Monterey and San Luis Obispo is one of the greatest roads you can drive. San Luis Obispo (where I currently live) is a great place to spend a night or even a day and go downtown. There are lots of restaurants/bars/fun things to do.

When you get near the Bay Area highway 9 and skyline drive off of highway 92 are nice too.
And congrats on the car. Mine is Jerez black as well.
