Your first BMW M3
Hi Guys,
I know its not an E90/E92/E93.....but i wasnt sure which section to post thread in. I have had 4 M3's in my time of car ownership. The romance started in 2002 with this car. It was my first M3 Evo. As i was only 22, i was into the modification scene, so played with the individuality of this car. One of the first E36 M3's over her sporting 19's...... It was magazine featured in the end. Hence the photos. Kept this car for 9 years. Most of the time in the garage. Whilst i got through several more M3s. Eventually sold it to a friend of mine who turned it into a race spec M3 and competed in it. Good times. (fairly low quality pics....as taken many years ago) What are yours first M3's/BMW's like? That is really tidy. Those wheels were really hard to get over here.
I agree with the prices. I sold mine for £7400. Now they are worth big bucks eg https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif...ba120re&page=9 See.....!!! |

My first M3. 2005 e46 SMG. Ebay headers, SS race exhaust. Still miss this car.
My last car. 2000 e39 m5. The best car I have ever owned. Still hurts that I let it go.

My first M3 was a 97 E36.
Somebody was not paying attention.

My first M3 and the love for brand started in 1997 with my Dakar II M3. I have since owned 4 different M3's and 1 335i.

Wyatth, I had the same '05, 6MT but black/black. Exactly the same CSL rear, which I loved. Had Dinan S2 on my E36, wanted it on the E46 but never got there. Went with the Vörsteiner "CSL" stuff on my E92 which I also love, and a Dinan intake. Almost a perfect compliment for my E36 and E46 experience. |

Like some folks in this thread, I also started with a E36 M3. 1998 M3/4/5, which is a fantastic car. My 08 M3 is a slicktop sedan, with limited options (single hump), so in many ways it feels very analogue and old school.
I still have the car to this day, and I plan to keep it for as long as I possibly can. I'll upload a few photos tonight. |

My second BMW but my first M. I owned my '06 330i for 9 years and just bought my 2008 E90 M3 to replace it. Will likely have it for the next 10 years. I get attached to my cars.

Pretty much a CSL with a 6MT, coilovers & RTABs, BBK. But for a US build:
- IB, SG, or AW with black leather, 6MT, slicktop, ZCP - CSL exterior, at least the rear - CSL airbox; Supersprint V1 headers/cats, resonated X pipe, and street muffler; cams; tune - Brembo GT BBK - Ohlins R&T; Dinan monoball RTABs - Rogue SSK - Recaro Sportster CS Anything more is gravy. Your palladium blue interior leather looked phenom with that paint. It was available for the E9Ms but I was too worried it would easily stain when i ordered. I went conservative, if i had to do it again I'd go indiv paint and exotic type leather.
