Well the winter seems to be here to stay so my M3 has gone into storage. Now I can just dream of spring weather when I will be able to bring it out again.

I have this problem too!

Waiting for enough snow for skiing which helps take my mind off it. Planning some mods as well

What's the big deal. You leave only once and the car drives great on winter tires.

I have winter tires on it - for the cold. I drove it in Switzerland through 3 winters and I agree, it was fine. However in Ottawa snow clearing is terrible. I would rather not use my M3 as a snow plough, it just does not have the clearance to deal with the lack of maintenance by the city. That is despite the fact that we pay more in property taxes than you do in Toronto. Our city just manages to waste more money.

Now imagine, that you live in such a place where you could drive it year round....buuuuut, it's been sitting in the body shop for something that should have only taken 1 week

I got rear ended by a lifted truck and insurance confirmed that the other guy's insurance was going to cover everything. The part came in on time, but the way the car was dropped off (the timing) with the holidays and all, my car has just been sitting there....

Just got confirmation that I'll be getting it back tomorrow tho

Amen to that, wifesbimmer. Our M3 in Calgary has been in storage since Halloween, although this recent spate of warm weather has got me very close to taking her out for a rip

I wasn't doing too bad when I had an E39 M5 winter beater, until two weeks ago I sold it for a nice profit and bought a 325ci e46 for a winter beater. Now i do miss my M3

Well, that is a quick way to lose the M3 in a divorce settlement - skiing might be an option, but it has been so mild here there is hardly any snow on the slopes and none in the city. With this weather, I really regret putting the M3 away.

there is always cocaine, there'll be plenty of white stuff this winter...

on topic, I use to live in Ohio and Virginia, while it was not nearly as slowy and icy as in Canada, I drove my old Evo 8 and M3 during winter (not DD). The M3 was barely usable in the snow even with snow tires, so I can sympathize with storing it away from 4 months.
