Oh okay. I took a bunch of pics today with nice clouds. Didn't take multiple exposures but I just found out that his work doesn't utilize HDR. I find it incredible that he gets so much detail out of just CS5. I really need to brush up on my skills. These before and after shots are ridiculous.

are you shooting RAW format or JPG?

play around with all the dials on the program you're using you'll be surprised what details you picked up.

Clarity, contrast, sharpening, all will find things you didn't know where there. Even using a bit of recovery.

If you have one you like and want to see if there can be any improvements, post it up in the snap shot of the day or general photography conversation threads, and just ask if anyone will goof around with them, and I'm willing to bet you'll get 2-5 people post up different versions of your picture. I will likely be one of those people
