Ride not too comfortable- EDC settings

I have a 2010 E92 and I have been driving it for about 6 months now. I have noticed that the ride is not particuarly comfortable especially on not so smooth roads. I realize that this is a sports car and has a sport suspension but I feel like like it could be better. I have tried changing the EDC settings numerous times but I cannot feel a difference at all. I leave it in comfort mode( no lights on button). I also have the 19 inch stock wheels, I wonder if the ride would be comparably better with 18 inch wheels. Please advise if there is anything I can do to obtain a smoother ride. Thanks

lower air pressure in your tires. stock comp. pk. / 19s are set at 35/36 psi, when they certainly could be a lower by a few.

Yes it would be. My car came with 19's and I made the switch to 18's mainly for this reason. Its a noticeable difference.

You should notice a difference between each EDC setting. The rebound rates are very different and sport is much more firm than comfort. I'm not sure why you dont appreciate a difference. As suggested check your tire pressure and changing to 18s would give slight improvement. What tires do you have?

When you're on 18" it's hard to believe the car is an ///3. The different tire sizes make a huge difference and so is the comfort and normal setting. Sports is totally different and best left alone for track use. With the 19s I use comfort for city/daily driving, and when on 18s its normal setting.

Not sure why you are not feeling a difference btw the 3 modes. Stock the 3 modes should be very perceptible, and mine is still perceptible now that I have the KW S/O kit (set to near max lowering). My track wheels are 18" and yes, they do ride noticeable better than the stock 19's. How many miles do you have on your 2010? It could be that your EDC dampeners are starting to wear out, but usually this causes the ride to be more floaty and more comfortable.

MY car only has 12,000 miles so I highly doubt the EDC is worn out. I guess what I was saying is that I can tell a difference in the settings in that the sport is stiffer but none of the settings have a comfortable ride, bumps feel similar in all settings. I realize that comfort will be the most comfortable. I will try to lower the air pressure in my 19s as I think it is higher like you mentioned. Also, with wheel diameter affecting ride quality so much, I would have to think very hard about upgrading to 20 inch wheels in the future like I had planned. Or is there a combination of high quality wheels and tires which would not suffer from reduced ride comfort?

Age? Car history? This car is not for comfort no matter if it had a "boat" setting.

sounds like you need a regular 3-series or the m5 both of which would be more "comfortable"

Switch to 18's. Its very noticeable going from 19's to 18's.
