2013 ZCP M3 or 991 C2?

Which one would you guys go with? Both these cars should be similar in speed. Any guys in here that have driven both these cars?

The Carrera S is a monster, but unfortunately it is out of my budget. Any input would be appreciated.

A friend of mine got a new white 991 Carrera S Spyder. I met up with him yesterday and parked my car next to his. All I can say is "Wow!" The 911 looks fantastic! He said it corners well and is great as a DD. I would love to get the new 911 if it wasn't so costly

I drove the 991 base and S recently. I have a love hate relationship with the 991. It feels much more confidence inspiring in high speed turns (230kph) than a 997. unfortunately in tighter corners it feels less nimble. i think bc of the long wheelbase. I'm not a fan of the electric assisted steering though. it feels artificial. I think compared to a 991 C2 base versus an E92 M3 base, I would pick the M3 hands down. 991S would win over M3 for me except I can't quite convince the wife that the back seats are actually usable for our kids. I think if you don't need the back seats and looking for a bargain 911, go for a 997.1 GT3. its 95% of a 997.2 GT3 RS for less than the cost of a 991 C2.

If the P-Car is out of your budget then you've answered your own question.

Get the M3!!!

is this the best comp for the M3? how much more does a reasonably well equipped p-car cost? 15? more?

M3 is underpriced. P car is probably fairly priced

enjoy

Pick two cars that actually compare in price. You could get an M3 and a Prius for the price of the 991.
I had the some trouble trying to convince my wife that the kids fit in the back of my 997S, so I got the M3! However, the 991 is claimed to have 2" more room in the back seats. If I had the extra $30-40k, I'd probably get the 991.
The best "buy" in the Porsche market right now is the GTS. They made a LOT of them and many have been dumped by people getting new 991's. $125k cars that are 2011 or even 2012 can be occasionally seen under $100k.

I had a ride in GT3, OMG, that car is sweet, far far better performance car than the M3.... interior is a bit plain, but I would have been totally happy. Don't forget, all the p cars are crazy Pu&*% magnets! 991 seems to be the next great thing, so i'd go for it... m3's are dated, sorry..

991 is much more expensive than the M3 when it's optioned out. Especially the S. Easily 120 thousand dollars with decent options.

As I stated earlier the Carrera S is out of the budget as this is a $100,000+ vehicle. The e92 I priced out is about $67,000 and the C2 is about $82,000. There is still a pretty large discrepancy in prices but I can afford it especially with these great finance rates these days.

Most people opt for the Carrera S but I can't justify spending 6 figures on a car at this time in my life. So it comes down to base C2 vs. e92. Is it even worth it to buy the 991 if it isn't an S? Thanks guys.

I feel your pain and my thinking is where yours is. I could never purchase the C2, which is expensive in its own right, knowing the C2s is out there. The performance IS THERE in the C2 but isn't that motor the same basic architecture as the one found in the Cayman S? Yet another reason I couldn't pull the trigger. Be happy though and get what you want. Good luck.

I bought a 997 C2 a couple of years ago for the same reason. I wasn't able to afford the much more expensive Carrera S. It bothered me also but there was nothing I could do
