My order went just in time for their sept production line and they got here EXACTLY ONE DAY before my track day. pretty awesome stuff I would say.

PS. I didnt weight them, but sure they are light as hell. Cant go wrong with these 1pc forged wheels, amazing quality!
Thanks for the info. I don't want to use spacers either. That's been a source of frustration because I just could not locate wheels that are in stock with the appropiate offsets. Ordering directly from Rays is a great idea. How exactly did you place your order? Thanks again.

Thanks for the video. Your car looks fantastic! Are the TEs gloss or matte? They look gloss in the unmounted pic, but matte when on the car. I'm guessing brake dust?

OT: just wondering, was that track event covered by insurance? and how did ur brakes hold up there? (i went there two times already and after 2 hot laps i could definatley feel them fading, thinking of getting some brembos)
Actually, the GTR wasnt all that fast on our track, it was very small with lots of technical slow speed corners. The GTR is still a very heavy car.

Im not sure if it's covered by insurance, just dont crash!

Regarding with the brakes. (This came from my experience with the track days i did with the M3) My stock brakes weren't that good and i warp the rotor on the first track day. Dont get me wrong, BMW stock brakes are still very good, but only good for the streets. Anyway, I tried to look for just rotor and brake pads but there werent any available. Therefore i went with the brembo BBK. Trust me, the brakes were awesome. No matter how hard i brake, I feel only a little fade comparing with the stock brakes(which faded A LOT). Brembo BBK + R compound tires = GRIP. Next thing im gonna do is to custom a brake duct, it helps out a lot!

Those are Glossy TE37. You are right, after one track day the brake dust covered up the wheels and it looked like matt black afterall. haha

I think I know what you are talking about. Apparently I heard that GT3 is getting a major upgrade after the owner crashed his car.

Nice video, thanks for sharing. How did you mount the camera? Was that track super rough or did the camera mount just vibrate a lot? I highly recommend the cruise cam at www.cruisecam.com. Here's a video I shot with the camera mounted to the back of the driver's seat. It's a $55 solution.

Are you sure you're not confusing brake pad transfer with warped rotors? The symptoms are the same, vibration under hard braking. I got my brakes very hot and at the end of the session on the track, some of the brake pad melts to the rotor causing vibration the next time out. The good thing is, after a few weeks of driving on the street the stuff wears off and the brakes are back to normal.

Seems to me if you run aftermarket brake fluid, track pads and brake ducts the stock brakes will do an excellent job without all the cost of a BBK. My experience with the stock brakes was zero fade but the brakes did get a little mushy as the brake fluid overheated. However no loss in effectiveness, just longer pedal travel. Were you having to brake earlier and earlier as the brakes faded?

BTW, some of the Ontario guys I run with take their plates off when they are on the track. I heard some of the Canadian insurance companies were dropping people just for driving in a driving school even without any incidents. The companies were sending employees to the tracks to write down license numbers. BS if you ask me.
