Im not sure if it's covered by insurance, just dont crash! Regarding with the brakes. (This came from my experience with the track days i did with the M3) My stock brakes weren't that good and i warp the rotor on the first track day. Dont get me wrong, BMW stock brakes are still very good, but only good for the streets. Anyway, I tried to look for just rotor and brake pads but there werent any available. Therefore i went with the brembo BBK. Trust me, the brakes were awesome. No matter how hard i brake, I feel only a little fade comparing with the stock brakes(which faded A LOT). Brembo BBK + R compound tires = GRIP. Next thing im gonna do is to custom a brake duct, it helps out a lot! KW Variant 3. Im still waiting for a decent set of sway and strut bars. Those are Glossy TE37. You are right, after one track day the brake dust covered up the wheels and it looked like matt black afterall. haha |

I think I know what you are talking about. Apparently I heard that GT3 is getting a major upgrade after the owner crashed his car.

Nice video, thanks for sharing. How did you mount the camera? Was that track super rough or did the camera mount just vibrate a lot? I highly recommend the cruise cam at www.cruisecam.com. Here's a video I shot with the camera mounted to the back of the driver's seat. It's a $55 solution.

Seems to me if you run aftermarket brake fluid, track pads and brake ducts the stock brakes will do an excellent job without all the cost of a BBK. My experience with the stock brakes was zero fade but the brakes did get a little mushy as the brake fluid overheated. However no loss in effectiveness, just longer pedal travel. Were you having to brake earlier and earlier as the brakes faded? BTW, some of the Ontario guys I run with take their plates off when they are on the track. I heard some of the Canadian insurance companies were dropping people just for driving in a driving school even without any incidents. The companies were sending employees to the tracks to write down license numbers. BS if you ask me.
