and by "well" i mean drive it like you stole it - i'm serious, these cars get upset with you if you just putter around

That is what I am thinking for sure.Long as we have 3 vehicles in the household
a GT3 would make logical sense to me.I am not seeing a the next generation M3/4 in my future thanks to BMW's move to turbo engines in their performance cars.High revving normally aspirated engines still rule for track driven cars.IMO

I wish I could, but I am 18-24 months away from the next car which I would like to be a P-Car if everything comes to plan.I have an order spot for a 991 GT3 at this point. We also have to deal with my wifes car in the next 12 months as her 335is is up next June. She called me the other day asking me what an SLS roadster was worth because she quite liked it

My offer was fair....
I'll drop by this week and have a look at it. The brakes are a concern for me.

Did you look into the Brembo steel replacement kit for the PCCB? It seems to be priced pretty reasonably.

No I didn't. Not sure how easy it would be sell the PCCB kit afterwards. I was at EA last week and there a half dozen GT3 and GT3 RSs there...got me thinking.

I looked into it when I was thinking about a GT3 too. The Brembo retrofit kit comes with new iron rotors that can be directly swapped out far the carbon ones, and Pagid makes regular Yellow pads that can be used in the PCCB calipers. The whole kit costs about $2800USD last time I checked.

As for selling the PCCB, just keep 'em around and sell them to someone who destroys theirs' on the track (if you read rennlist, it doesn't seem to be an uncommon thing).

It's not common to destroy the PCCB's as long as you replace the pads frequently once the pad wear reaches approx. 30%. That being said it is not an issue on the street, but merely for heavy track use.
