Which is better - Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta or Hankook Ventus V12 Evos?

Which tire is the better buy considering performance, ride comfort, noise level, and tread life for street use only between the Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas and Hankook Ventus V12 Evos?

I don't think anyone can really answer that question. I doubt anyone has actually run both tires on the same car to tell you. I haven't seen a test that compared the two. Tire Rack runs alot of tire comparisons, and I have seen some magazines do them from time to time. I think both tires are great low cost options. Just pick one. Remember tread wear ratings are only comparable when comparing 2 tires from the same manufacturer.

If it's me, I'm going with Hankook just because I can get it easier from Tirerack if I need a replacement asap (like hitting a pot hole etc.).

I wasn't necessarily looking for a comparison by one person, but I thought if we got enough feedback (experience) from people that owned at least one of the tire brands, we could have enough information to compare.

Does anyone now the tire wear rating for the Vreds? The Hankooks have a wear rating of 280 AA A.

Did you read my post? YOU CAN'T COMPARE TREAD RATINGS AMONGST DIFFERENT MANUFACTURERS. The tread rating of the Vreds and the Hankooks can not be compared.

I understand that. I just want to know what the tread rating is for the Vreds for my knowledge.

I never had any experience with Vredestein, but I am absolutely satisfied with Hankooks... Great handling, decent grip, and awesome price. The biggest plus for me was how quiet it is.

I have the V12s on right now and I can't wait to get them off, they are mediocre at best - lots of discussion if you search. If you are looking for the absolute cheapest tire to put on your 70K car, these are the ticket. I don't plan to make the same mistake again (listening to Car&Driver who said they were better than PS2s).

If you have enough treads left, I'll buy your set. I want to try out myself.

I'd go with the Hankooks because they are more widely available.

Both you guys can get Vreds local. One of the sponsors in SD is selling them and Performance Plus and a place in Stanton has them.
