OEM Exhaust Mod Question

I'm currently having the straight through pipes done by a shop(NOT the perforated). Did you guys that did it yourself open up the top and bottom to weld the pipe all the way around? or just the top and weld asfar as you could reach.

Also how is the drone on the way yours is done, I was told if you don't open up the other side and leave a little gap on the connection for some exhaust to escape it would help with drone.

Straight thru = drone

Single perforated pipe = no drone

Thank you guys but I'm not trying to make this another perforated vs straight through thread.

What I was trying to figure out was if people opened up the top and bottom of the muffler to weld the pipe all the way around or if they left a small gap open.

I ran a muffler delete (just straight pipes) and there was no drone; less noisy than my Gintani setup too
