Footwear M style
I prefer to operate my vehicle using sandals due to the orange county way of life. Do you guys ever drive with sandals? What are the performance differences between shoes and sandals? Anways feel free to post pics of you driving shoes, driving sandals , or just your feet in general

I would never want to drive with sandals. With a manual transmission, you'd have a hard time feeling the clutch engagement and on all cars have a terrible time modulating the throttle and brake pedal.
Also, if your sandal slipped off or got caught under/over a pedal, you'd be screwed. |

I wear whatever I happen to be wearing that day. Loafers, work boots, sandals, whatever. Though I'll drive barefoot when I'm in sandals lol. My preferred shoes are the sports type of shoes, like Pumas or Fila or those types of footwear.

The recent trend of super-light running shoes is a good thing for drivers; I'm guessing many of these would be perfect for feeling your way around the pedals.

I wear flops all the time and drive 6MT. Heel/Toe downshift every once and a while in them as well. Never had a problem. I usually don't drive too hard while wearing them though.

I know this is trying to be a shoe thread, but your skill set should allow you to drive the same no matter what you are wearing.
Insisting that you can only drive with a certain kind of footwear is a myth you sell to yourself. Winter snow boots would qualify as an exception. Driving barefoot can help you gain more finesse and sensitivity, regardless of whether it is "legal" in your jurisdiction.
