Actually it doesn't take them to crack the ECU that long. Is just that GIAC preferrs to do everything through flash only!! and because they have dealer all over the world they have to perfect the flash program software. So when its out its done with no hassell.

forgot to ask earlier, but what camera mount did you use for your in car run? I'm digging it and that high revving engine with exhaust sounds blissful.
I use the cruisecam mount, you can get one at www.cruisecam.com works great. Thanks for the compliments Bro, and again good stuff on the ISF.

Awesome drew!! Congratulations!!!
So, sorry for my ignorance, but what exactly is "burnout mode." I know you said that you just mashed the pedal... but how does the car know when to go?? Do you have one foot on the brake and one on the gas pedal.
I guess im asking what is the whole launch process??

Thanks Brotha!

No worries, burnout mode, same thing on E46 SMG M3's, you simply mash the pedal and it will drop the clutch for you at around 2500rpms and burn the tires, then I apply the brakes to heat up the Drag Radials. Then instead of using LC, I simply do the same thing to launch the car for the run, aka "Burn out Mode" or "Mash the Pedal" type launch.

Thanks for the link. I'm going to order one for my next drag strip outing. Wish I would have had it today. I ran a new best 12.20@117.49 and have no recording of it. Two more weeks left though until the local tracks are closed and I'm hoping for a 12.1 if conditions permit. Looking forward to seeing what you can do in the future. 11's are so close.

Awesome run Bro! You gained 3mph in your trap what did you do different? What is your 60'? What track? Excellent job!

No headwind this time. Track was Cecil County as opposed to my last best which was run at Maryland International Raceway. The only other thing that I did differently was changed my shifting. It seems that by shifting exactly when the rev limiter is hit the car gains in both ET and MPH. I used to shift right before the rev limiter, but by mistake I believe I found a quicker method. Could really use a rev limit increase by 200-300.

Good stuff, 117 traps is moving for the power you are making. I too realized I was shifting a bit early and in my later runs shifted closer to redline and picked up a mph in my trap, probably not a huge factor, but we did have a slight headwind throughout the day. I am going to try another track as well soon, again great stuff Bro and thanks for sharing! Wish you were closer we could do a few Mexico comparo runs!

Makes sense... bc when you shift into the next gear you are that much further in your power band. So, i guess you get that little extra gain.

yea but how do u do it on a 6mt?? 1 to 2 is hard.. 2 to 3 is easy.. When i power shift 2nd to 3rd is so easy. But 1st to 2nd,i get jumpy and scared of the grind. Plus i get ton's of when spin when i do speed shift to 2nd. I can't even drop the clutch past 2500 rpm's.. I was neck and neck with a m5 07..He had a special shifter too. He said he does 12.38 all the time..any way nice run on a dct...I wonder if anyone perfected a 6mt run with ur mod's?

I believe a 6MT with the right driver, in the right conditions can run low 12's as well, one will eventually hit 11's too.
