If you care about your car for day to day that much. I say save up the money and get a track only car then you don't worry about what it looks like but just how it mechanically performs.

Couple hundred versus several thousands is a big difference

To get a track only e90 M3 would cost me close to 70k....+++

that's a 08 with bbk KW CS S/C cage etc

big difference

But I am looking.... if I see a good condition Lotus for cheap I'll grab it.

or an ariel atom

Anyways, i canceled it

I'll keep using road wrap

It's ok.
Don't do it! I would say the same to someone that inquires about wearing a leisure suit, bell bottoms or checkered pants that flare out the bottom.

I saw an Oldsmobile with a black bra a week or two ago and I pointed it out to my wife. I has to, I couldn't help it. We tried to see who it was that had such taste. I didn't see the face.

And yes I had one on my 87 Mercury Cougar and packed it away in the late 80s. I came across it in a box in the garage and showed my son who is 22 and we laughed.

I still have the cougar lol.

if it's only going on for a track day, then okay with me. Otherwise, holy shit that's ugly.

+1 for track use, it's better than stupid painter's tape that takes so long to put on.

For street use, this deserves a punch in the face.

Comes out to 150 shipped

I ended up ordering it, but they emailed me and said it's back-ordered and would take 25 working days... then 3 day express shipment after that.

I have an option to cancel it due to the unexpected delay.

Should i cancel or get it?

I've been using Road Wrap and painters tape.
Tape is a PITA and takes too much time. Road wrap takes me about 20 mins if I half-ass it, but up to an hour if I do it right and it's cool. though I'll run out of my sheet after 3 more track days ($45 for a new sheet).

I will be tracking at least 3 days, if not 5 or 6 days this summer alone.

Then probably every other month after summer ends until next summer when it'll be the same.

I don't like the clear bras people get for the front cause you can always see the line and the line really bugs me. I've never seen it done well unless you do the entire hood etc.

Thanks
I actually had it on my first M3 (e46) used it for long distance driving it worked just great. Cleaning the bra was a pain in the bud then it saved the paint work and when I sold her in 2010 she still looked nice.

+10

I am amazed by how insecure some people are on this forum and talk about embarrassment and stuff. Who the hell cares???

The darn thing is totally fine for track use and after wards take it off and put it in the trunk..... While all the others are worried about chipped paint and messed up clear bras.... Not the mention old school bras are pretty much bullet proof....

Since the OP did not end up getting it, we can close this thread now

PS: Persian, -Your car is looking good

If so please leave me a PN with your price idea
