Actually SuperSprint claims the most I have seen. Not a fan of the sound of their exhaust, but would consider their X pipe + Cats if it wasnt for the fitment issue.
what do you mean fitment issue?

Wow now im torn with what exhaust to get...
Ericsson or Arapovic or Supersprint

If you get the full system you wont have fitment issues. If you get the X-Pipe and High Flo Cats you will. IND had to custom fit them to the OEM pipes running to their Eisenmann.

Good: The M3 that was at essen last week is going to be back in their shop sometime next week, so I'll be able to check it out, get pics, and hopefully some sound clips if the weather holds up.

Bad: They don't actually have any in stock right now because Akrapovic hasn't pushed it out yet. Will probably be until February until it is commercially available.

Looking forward to hearing the report....

I'm torn between Akrapovic and Dixis. Waiting to see the Akrapovic in the flesh. Not a fan of those tips on the Akra though.

Well, it appears that the system is going to be available in mid-january now, with a 10 percent discount if you order before 24 DEC.

PG has dyno charts on his Ericsson exhaust, it can be found here: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=178680

Akrapovic has never been a Croatian company...all Croatian exhaust makers together cannot reach 10% of Akrapovics quality.

It's a Slovenian company located in Ivancna Gorica (cca. 30 km from capital city Ljubljana).

Yes it was. SKN had Milltek on their M3 V8. I'll post some pictures later...

I also ordered Millteks exhaust for wifes M3, great quality, fair price. 15 BHP / and 2o Nm should be gained with this exhaust system (stock cats). Do not know the weight data though and power gain using sport cats..

But cat-back stainless steel for 1.400 EUR including installation and lifetime warranty is a fair price I think...

Akrapovic exhaust system is for sure top of the line but the price 4.950 EUR (around 6.500 USD) doesn't approve the benefits, according to my opinion.

Regards,
Grega

Akrapovic Soundfiles

We finally have the soundfiles!

Just click here to get an impression of the sound that is delivered by the Akrapovic Evolution system:

M3 Akrapovic-Sound

You have to scroll down to the bottom of the page. There are three different files.

Enjoy!

Sounds nice, but too quiet still. The Ericsson sounds much better.

Maybe I'm getting old, but I like the subdued sound. Though I do agree, the Ericsson is amazing. Just too much for DD for me.

My only gripe about the Akra, is the unfinished tips and the dual canister design. I really hate the fact that you can see canisters from the rear. The Ericsson design from a form over function perspective is much better.
