The OEM spoiler is a VERY nice piece! Borderline perfect and worth every penny.

I have one, the height of the flare is different. I had both and love my performance, if its money then go with the JBspeed, but if you dont mind paying 5xx for one go with the BMW one

I was at my local BMW dealership (Irvine BMW) for something else and asked if they had the performance spoiler in stock and how much. He quoted me MSRP and I said "no thanks, it's much cheaper online" (Tischer had a sale at the time, $400 IIRC) and he asked me how much. I pulled a BS number of $360 out of my ass and he said "done".

I looked like an ass when I made a stupid excuse why I still didn't want it and walked away.

My dealership in Atlanta (United) matched the online price of others, about $100 off.

OEM. My car would look naked if I took my spoiler off now.

BMW actually puts real engineering work/R&D/wind-tunnel tests these add-ons prior to marketing. For this and the front splitters, BMW claims that there is additional downforce generated (per original press releases). While probably not noticeable especially at legal speeds, a even a few lbs of downforce or lift reduction is a win, plus you can't beat the OEM quality/looks that you want to retain with a $65+k car.

I love mine, looks great. And I don't presume that its giving me any real added downforce in corners like a wing would, but I DO feel the lift reduction on the long backstraight at Road Atlanta where you can get noticeably light over the last rise at 140. Now it feels rock solid. I think it definitely has some functionality along with the aesthetics.

JBSPEED says that the flare and kick are identifcal to OEM. Is that not true? Or is it slightly different?

Were you not satisfied with the JBSPEED that you replaced it with OEM?
