Finally got production code from dealer!!
Hello,
I finally got my production code of my 09' M3 Coupe, but it's not working at bmw owner's circle. it says, Only new vehicles can be added by production number. If your vehicle is currently in production, it is possible it has not yet entered our system. Please try again in a few days. I have 7 digit numbers (6789XXX), is this correct format of production code? Thanks! |

Try the 1800 number. When you first get your prod # theres a chance it wont show up on the site since its a couple of days behind.
And if my memory serves me right, the 1800 number wont work since its sunday. Try monday

I'd wait even longer to try the production number online. For the first month, my production number was mapped to a jet black 2006 530i -- clearly not the car I ordered (should have been an E93 M3 with all the bells and whistles). The website didn't reflect my actual order until it went into production.
The 1-800 number wasn't much help when I relied on the automated response. I heard "your vehicle has been scheduled for production with no confirmed production date..." too many times to remember. However, when I started bypassing the automated responses and requesting to speak to a real person, my experience changed dramatically. The reps on the other end of the phone were very courteous and helpful, and were able to tell me what week my car was scheduled to enter production. Having that little nugget of info was so much better than knowing nothing at all. I'm at the tail-end of a long three-month wait for my car. Should have it in a couple of weeks. Hang in there.

Dealer confirmed the build week on my 09 e92 for week 38 (Week of Sept 14th-20th)
On the BMW Website, it an 05 X5 shows up. I'll wait and call the 1-800 # in the meantime as the website is usually slow to update. |

Actually I am still waiting for info. I know there is still some time to do any modification before it goes to production. Me along with alot of other people are still waiting for pricing and options.
And I have to give Jim "Woz" at New Motors in Erie, Pa recognition for making this possible. He gave me a great price based on 2008 prices. PM me if you want his contact info. HE IS BY FAR THE BEST!!!! |
