I heard on M5board that the ring taxis are crushed after their use on the nurburgring comes to an end.

When I was at the school I herd from the instructor that they CPO the cars... Not sure if this is true or not

All the cars are put up at various BMW auctions and dealers can buy them and sell them. You can pick those up for pretty cheap usually bc people are a little scared to buy a car that has been tracked hard and often.

Instructors said they get totally fixed up and then sold.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

I wouldn't get to upset, as you can't tell the difference between V12 and V10
