I love the multiple guys essentially telling the guy to defraud the Wheel and Tire insurance company. I worked at a tire shop and used a plug/patch for all tires that came in. We never had one come back in or leak air. What you do is remove the tire, remove the screw, drill out the hole, rough up the surface inside the tire around the hole, brush on some sealant and then pull the plug/patch through the tire, and cut off the end. As long as the patch is nowhere near the edge of the tread it will work fine for the life of the tire. With that being said if you paid for insurance then you deserve a new tire regardless. Why waste money on an insurance program when fixing a flat tire is $20 at most?
