de-badging and installing a brazilian ///M3 emblem?

So I was in the market for a matte or gloss black m3 with the /// part being the original light blue, blue, red combo emblem for the trunk and came across this site
http://apeperformance.com/trunkembe92m3.html

Is this as low as it gets?

Also would it look idk strange to install a brazilian flag colored /// M3 emblem?
This site has it, but i can't see the color option.
http://www.jlevistreetwerks.com/M-Se...duct_info.html
just wanna get some opinions from you guys whether was the only country themed trunk emblem to get?

I think that the matt black emblem will look nice on the car with the original M color stipes!

If you are proud to be where your from, then by all means put your countries colors on the emblem. The whole idea of customizing your car is to make it unique and the way you like it!

Make sure that if you use the original M colors that the badge you get matches up in color with the original. There have been known that some badges are slightly off in the shade of blue.

The only reason why I've ever been against this is because putting anything other than a German flag doesn't make sense. Car wasn't made in Brazil right? Then also you would run into the problem that if you are going to change one then you should change all. Sides, wheels, steering wheel. It is your car though, do what you gotta do.

Isn't the Brazillian M Emblem the one with just a thin band down the middle?

stick a flag on your rear window but do not pollute the m3 with a cheap badge with a flag or colors built in-not just brazil but anything-US, Canada, china or whatever

Not a fan of messing with the M logo or Roundel... OEM is the way to go IMO

Please listen to this guy. I also think Brazil is a beautiful country so I mean no disrespect just thinking your making a terrible decision.

FYI on the Brazilian flag - there are a couple of sites that make custom badges I believe. You could put a nice discrete flag somewhere on the car.

Good luck.

Thank you for changing your mind. You just prevented the bastardizing of a wonderful car well deserving of keeping it clean and tastefully modded.

Mfest will provide you with an oem badge that is custom painted. $80. IMO, if you are going to make the badge black, you should grey scale the stripes.

IND can do it for you. I picked up a gloss black emblem w/ M color stripes a few weeks back. Thought about brazilian myself, but save that for the wife.
