Water gathers on the inside, and completely throws the wheels out of balance when it rains. Happened on my previous sets of HREs.

BBS and OZ have a flat inner lip, properly designed.

"Yes, it was an issue with the older 3-piece structures and designs for a while. The water would basically accumulate in a crevice all around the diameter of the wheel, pre-designed by the barrel-maker, and would cause the wheels to vibrate and seem out of sync, due to the added weight of the water.

We’ve since addressed the issue by redesigning our 3-piece forgings and selecting different barrels."

Just so everyone is crystal clear regarding this issue.

HRE S1 series are not reverse mounted wheels so they do not have the water pooling issue.
