Wow that's some ride. Not that it really matters, but I'm curious what all these modifications have cost as I would like to know what it takes to get a car like this to be able to trap in the mid 140's.

...wow. I can't imagine what it felt like starting the engine and driving this monster for the first time after the build.

what you guys don't realise is that other than the visual, you would have no idea how fast it is. Putting the street ECU on, the car will drive from vegas to LA, race and then drive back. In fact that is what was done in one of the videos. You don't hear the SC whine until the engine is high in the rev band under load.

Anyways, thats for the nice comments but this is not to stroke my ego but to meet up with Drew on of these days. The car is supposed to be out on the East Coast for an event at MIR (domestic vs. import) but depending on how things go, I want to take a close look at the airport event.

Wow you have spent a lot of coin to make that thing go fast. You ever take it on a road course? Or do you just do straight line racing?

I'd love to see this thing run at the air strip event. I know a few of the Shift-Sector guys and I want to go but I'd be to slow. :-/

That's one badass Benz. Nice build!

Would love to see it take out a heavily modded Z06 or GTR

Looks sick but whatsup with the John Force burnout? Really no need to smoke the tires that much.

mbauer - this still has the full road race suspension on it so it still turns better than it goes straight.

m33 - The video you were looking at was from vegas last august when the car was only trapping 134. The video below is from last week and I am trapping 144

m3an...why...because I can! The silver clk beside me decided the better burnout on that run had to buy dinner at nobu...we called it a draw and went to drink

Drew, I wanted to run the airport event but the runway is 930 feet shorter than the first event. I had a friend go out there and he said the runway has some potholes on it...not worth it for me.

I am looking to run the following week in vegas at the street car supernationals. You should come out so I am not the only import there. The event is from wed - sun and they will have awesome track prep (just make sure you are NHRA legal).

Earl, the runway is as long as the last event in terms of the amount of runway we are using for the actual runs. At the last event we used a portion of the runway as a grid to line up the cars. NCMA, is a much better venue, better pavement, and there is a return road this time, and there are no potholes according to the SS3 reps that secured the location.

As far as driving to Vegas to run you there, I really appreciate the offer, but I'm not interested in going to that event, my car is not setup for drag racing, and before I go out and do it I'd like to enjoy it first. Vegas is certainly not a track that interests me if I'm going to drive that far. Honestly I don't think I'd stand a chance against you there, on the drag strip especially, or even at the airstrip sbs event, best of luck to you though, and I hope you change your mind and come out and run at the airstrip, the list of cars is going to be impressive, and not something you will see that often.

The shorter runway put me off but if my scheduling allows I will be there. Funny comment about the suspension as we had the road race suspension on at Pomona. We put the jack on the mid point of the car and with one full pump on the jack after making contact and the tyres were off the ground!

What's up with some of the comments here?

Hey Earl. Don't put bus lengths on Drew's car please if the race is going to happen. We M3 guys have huge egos.

Earl, totally understand your initial thoughts on this, but 1000+ HP cars will be attending, there is plenty of runway. Would love to have you there, as I said I'm a big fan of your car and what you've done, you seem like a passionate enthusiast, it took a ton of work to get this event to happen, and it's absolutely worth attending and I have little doubt that your car will do very well there.

Eh, it's just a little back and forth Brotha, harmless and the vast majority of people here have given Earl major props for what he's actually done with his car, and deservedly so. AMG guys don't have ego's as well?

Bro i said that to keep the mature look. A Benz guy should be flamed no matter how sick his car is. J/K
