Extended Leather VS FR/Black

Hey everyone. The extended leather option is 2k while the two tone interiors are 1250. Are the two tone interiors extended interiors or simply the standard ones with red inserts? I was also wondering exactly where you see the difference with the extended leather. im about to order a MR E92 and trying to decide between extended black interior or the fr/black two tone. thanks.

Hard to tell based on the picture in the website. Two-tone is pretty sweet, and I'd doubt that it's extended considering the fact that it's a cheaper option.

Is it possible to add the extended leather AFTERWARDS? I so regret not getting that option...

You could, but you would be paying for a new dash, and center console, etc... It would run in the thousands of dollars.

Man, I just realized.... My SA told me that extended leather only covered the carpeted areas that are apart of the lower center console area, i.e. down by the driver's right calf, and the passanger's left calf. I didn't really think any more about it after he said that...

I definitely would have gotten it knowing all that it does cover. :/

Uh extended also covers the lower dash all the way across.

I picked up my black extended leather yesterday. I know a lot of people say it is pointless w/ black but I find it has added a really nice refinement to the car that I appreciate. It probably isn't worth $2k but I'm very glad I ordered it. If the money isn't much of a concern to you I'd recommend it. If you are needing to watch your money on the purchase then it clearly is an expensive unneeded extra. But I love the way it finishes the interior.

And to answer the OP... no the red/black combo in itself does not come w/ extended leather.

edit: after re-reading the post it might have sounded snotty... i didnt' mean it to come across that way. all respect to people who choose not to add it for any reason. i understand other's motivations might be different than mine.

Extended Leather in the convertible is $1,100 and is even more noticeable with the top down.

Did not get it and don't regret it at all. The car will be great and once you get it you forget about everything else.

I was saying that I wish I had got it. My SA made it unclear to me what the extended leather actually was and after knowing what it really is, I wish I had. However, that also would have made the difference of me getting my car last week to me getting my car in two months.... so I'm happy.
