With some datalogging back and forth, we were greeted with a new selection:



While coding passed (4 major module updates are written), only half the mountain was claimed. Here's a short iPhone video clip to show the flickering on ignition startup

A logging session was taken and sent off to Germany, we'll be giving this another shot in the morning and hopefully, get this project wrapped up before the weekend.

Not on our build, but it seems to differ between models, logs have been collected and submitted to Germany for evaluation.

Overview:
At this time, we have performed logging sessions on the following models:

2008 M3, iDrive equipped (eas project M3)
Notes: No errors, slight 1-2 second flickering upon ignition.
Build Date: 2/2008

2009 M3, iDrive equipped (reviewed above)
Build Date: 8/2009
Notes: Left brake lamp malfunction message, rapid turn signal operation, slight flickering upon ignition.

2010 M3, iDrive equipped (installed, not photo-documented)
Build Date: 10/2009
Notes: Numerous lamp malfunction messages only upon brake pedal/reverse gear combo application - messages autoclear when reverse is disengaged.

I was able to scan both a 2011 LCI e92 and 2010 e90 LCI 335 sedan for comparison purposes - things are looking very good and I think we have the data we need.
