Monoblock 1-Piece Forged Wheels - please share experience
Hi guys, I'm in the market for a set of 19" monoblock forged wheels.
I have shortlisted some companies below, and I've heard good and bad things about some of them, please feel free to share your experience if you're a customer. They range from $800 to $1500 a wheel, but I don't want to decide purely base on pricing and aesthetics. Would like to know the integrity and quality of the products as well. Rennen M5S ADV.1 5.1SL CEC C884 Roderick RW5 Vossen CV5 DPE MT5 ForgeStar CF5 Nutek BC5 Savini SM2 Vellano WM4 360 Spec5 Appreciate it. *I'm aware of the Rennen issue our fellow members have experienced. Let's share your experience on other brands as well please. I'm already in touch with the sales guys of all the brands listed above, will have to make a decision very soon. |

add HRE's arkym j12 to the list... I put 8k miles on it hitting the track hard twice a day - no problems whatsoever. To give you an idea of how hard it was on the cars that were driven hard - there were guys with cast wheels failing left and right. HRE wheels have TUV certification too.

Agree with everyone else. Buy right the first time and you won't have any issues. HRE, BBS, Rays/Volks, Arkym (HRE), Forgeline, Morr, etc.

are forgestar wheels even forged? thought it was a tricky marketing ploy as they are flow formed cast wheels...
a browse thru the wheels and tire discussion section or even google search regarding some of the wheel companies you listed will be worth your time..

Why do people love shitty wheels???
Rennen: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=596363 ADV: Nutek and CEC probably make a decent wheel but for $$$. . http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...hlight=failure ICONZ (look behind the spokes): http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...hlight=failure

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

yea HRE's are nice but please for the love of god dont put them in the same category of BBS/Rays/Advan
thats like M3 owners thinking their cars are exotics... another brand that are just as good in quality if not better than HRE that is more popular with people that are more interested in go than show, Fikse.

I have the adv 7.1. I love them and haven't looked back since. Even with all the negative adv publicity I still stand by mine.

Equal integrity is the primary concern. Obviously one wouldn't buy another wheel whose styling isn't better than the stock.

People buy ugly wheels all the time. I'd say 80% of the wheels on this forum are pretty ugly. But that's just my opinion.
