Backup Camera
I have a 2008 E92 M3 and was wondering if BMW has an OEM backup camera that can be installed without too much trouble? Currently I just have the sensors.

They are in Boca Raton and it is about a grand to install. Also gets you extra video inputs for the nav screen.
On my to do list

EAS also has a setup:
http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...rce-module-vsm not a bad price, I would say... too bad it doesnt show as available for the 2009+. But it will help your situation for sure.

Note that both Alekshop and MMN require that you buy the camera kit AND their multimedia interface kit, so don't get too excited when you see the price for just the camera. But it's worth it.

You still have a light with the Alexshop setup. That's the setup I'm planning on.

Also just for reference while having it centered on the trunk may be nice most OEM cameras are off set to one side.

Aha, interesting! Did the Alekshop camera always include that light or is that a recent revision? In any case, I deleted my previous post, thanks for letting me know!

My friend has the new (4 cyl turbo) 528i with OEM backup camera package and his looks just like the Alekshop kit. Only physical difference is that his replaces the right light, while Aleks goes over the left one. |
