Agreed!
and don't forget Acura is a spinoff from Honda a decade or so ago for the US market (for luxury highend cars...)
and they can hardly compete with Lexus.....

Not sure why they moved away from their 5 point signature grille (their version of the twin kidneys) that was their identity from around 2003 - 2007. I thought they had a respectable lineup then.

Don't know what the designer was smokin when he said "hey, I have an idea. How about a guillotine beak?"

Yep ~ branding is VERY important to give your product instant recognition. As for the new TL, it appears Acura designers have run out of ideas. The previous models have been far superior IMO.

Man they really messed it up IMO. Looks like someone punched the grill and gave it a fat lip. At least the 08's will have higher resale value now since fewer people will be buying this one most likely.

I never thought the previous gen TL was GREAT looking, but it was a hell of a lot better than this one.

I didn't know Bangle left BMW for Honda/ Acura I've seen the front of the TL in person that chrome is hideous, can't imagine what a few rock chips would make that look like. The new accord coupe isn't too bad looking but it appears honda and GM are on a design collision course, getting hard to distinguish them apart. Mind you Audi is coming very close to looking BMW like. Even though the new TL has AWD drive the car has to be one of the ugliest designs to come out in years.

That ugly TL and the horrible chrome grill from the TSX are come from the great United State mighty design! Take a look on the JDM accord (TSX without the bottle cup opener), it looks 1000X better.

I heard somewhere that it was an american design. don't know what he meant by that but it does look like some of the american cars we are beginning to see here in the states. I thought the 08 Type-s looked nice. I was actually considering that b4 the bimmer. but they didnt have AWD. Thank god I didnt wait for their AWDs to come out I would've missed out on the 0.9% financing and killed myself.

You guys serious? I think it is unique and a right step into the future. At least they aren't trying to sell a car with cues from all the competitors *cough* Hyundai *cough*.

Car looks great and definitely not as boring as the old TL. This is a car young asian boys would beg their mothers for (great market I've heard)!
