Would these lugs work?

I have a LeMans Blue E90 and wanted to add these colored bolts to my aftermarket wheels. I've read that the stock lug bolts have 28mm shanks.

Is the 1mm difference a problem?

Thanks!

id like to know too, i have some forgestars on order and want to get some blue bolts or do a conversion and get blue lugs

OP, if these wont work, you might want to consider going to studs and getting some blue lugs

I wanted to change up the look with different bolts also. Seems like the best bet is a stud conversion. There seems to be more options with lugs instead of bolts.

I hear the above, just want to know whether 1mm difference creates safety issue. I wouldn't think it would, but I'm far from an expert.

I would not take the chance on shorter bolts. With that said, the difference in length may be a measurement convention only.

im not an expert either but 1mm is a very small difference...

call the supplier of the bolts you want and ask them what they think

From the Turner Motorsports website in talking about OEM sized lugs...

"To be considered safe, a 12x1.5 wheel bolt needs 10mm (6.5 turns) of thread engaged"

In looking at their lug offerings they indicate that the OEM sized lugs can be use with spacers up to 3mm thick. Going to a 5mm spacer shows a different part number so likely a longer lug...

Bottom line, if Turner says you can use the stock lugs with a 3mm spacer, I would expect you can use these lugs with no spacers, despite being 1mm shorter than OEM...

IND was having a special on stud conversion/project kics awhile back.
Not sure if they are still doing it.

Check out these lugs from WORK.
