It should be pretty straight forward when you look at them. Don't cut them too short so you have some pipe to slip onto. Maybe EAS can chime in since they did the install.

There is a slight increase in smell on startup. However, if you run race gas the smell is glorious.

SICK!!!shoot BPMsport a PM, they tuned my car. I have test pipes and dinan mufflers, when I had just the mufflers and then added test pipes it was a rush how much more power the car had, but then BPM tuned my car, and the increase in power from the tune felt like as big of a gain as it was when I put the test pipes on. Test pipes are the best bang for the buck with x-pipe stuff, and the money spent on a tune was also verrrry much worth it! If you hit them up, tell them Mazda recommended them and they will take special care of you.

Looks sounds great, but to be clear... The ss mufflers do drone. Particularly at 2k rpm.

Do you get a CEL using the MS test pipes? In other words, do I need a tune to have a robust setup?

Thanks fellas!

For the record my exhaust does NOT smell and does NOT drone.

If you have the same setup and your car smell check your install. Eas took care of mine so I know it's done right.

Drone: Wouldn't driving at 2k rpm be lugging the engine?! Not sure but I don't drive at that low rpm.

Either way I assume it's possible that my mufflers are nicely broken in from tracking (?).

Anyone local is welcome to check it out or you can also find me at Auto Club Speedway on 11/18.

Tune: You do not need a tune per se. The car drives awesome on the stock software.

I do however plan to get a tune to squeeze out the last few ponies and turn off the SES light. And get rid of the cold start procedure which is a bit outrageous especially in a garage.

I'm probably going to go with Evolve or Epic Motorsports.

If all you want is to turn off the SES light you can get a "delete-r" for much cheaper than a tune.

Hope this helps!

What an amazing review on a mod that most of us have had in the back of our minds doing. I wonder what the best tune for this setup would be, since most tunes that considered "aftermarket exhaust" weren't necessarily including test pipes (I believe most were for x-pipes/catbacks only. I could be wrong ). Hope Tom or some of you super-knowledge enthutiast could give a reccomendation since I'm planning on getting rid of my Dinan. Again, a total packaged review. Thanks guys

What supersprint mufflers are these? I assume these are the older Race model and not the F1's?

This may sound dumb, and also answered before, but will this pass a DEQ check?

No. Once you remove the primary cats it takes about 50 miles of driving and the Increased Emissions warnings will pop up. If Oregon does an OBDII check, you will fail the readiness check.

There are ways around this though depending on what exactly Oregon checks for with their test.
