Open Track Day: Speed District - October 21, 2012 @ Willow Springs Raceway

When: Sunday, October 21, 2012
Where: Willow Springs Raceway (Road Course)
Racing from: 8am-5pm
Drivers Meeting: 7:15am (Sharp) Try and get there before!
Participates Accepted: 50 (That is it, no one extra will be accepted.)

Your run group goes on once a hour, you should be literally getting two track days in one. All the cars around you are high end automobiles, and the owners do not want to scratch/damage their cars just as you don't want to. The incredible opportunity to receive private driving instruction from our professional drivers (Mike Bonanni/Jordan Yost) will be available on the registration page. If you're a beginner on the track, they will jump in the car with you, teach you the proper breaking points, teach you the line and assist with issues/questions/help/etc you may need;they are there for you. Even if you are a professional and just need to shave some lap time off, they are able to provide very useful advice as they do this for a living. We just added a exclusive package for this event. We will include a photo CD ($65 value) and Timing Transponder Rental ($20) in your general admission fee. You can see your car in action and receive some AWESOME pictures of your car on the track. (Examples: Click here)

Reserve your spot before they are all sold!
Event Registration: http://speeddistrict.com/item/events...n-october-21st

Most of our members are from M3Post! You are guaranteed to have a blast! Whether you are a beginner or a professional driver, our events are for you. This event is properly spaced out and broken down into different run groups (by skill), so you will feel at ease on the track. You'll be safe and surrounded by good company.

Feel free to ask any questions, I will probably answer them or someone that has been to our events before can.

Example of the pictures from our last event (Sept 30@ Buttonwillow): http://www.flickr.com/photos/6868450...7631670068795/

You would be paying $150-$170 and $20 transponder fee for this track with other organizers. $170-190. You would have over 80-120 cars joining you at that rate/price. With Speed District, the whole event is capped out at 50 cars. Not to mention, we include the $65 photography CD from the track photographer. You might be paying a slight premium but look at the value of your dollar. Track event with WAY less cars on the track (1/3 to be exact) that on it's own is basically like insurance. I guarantee you, double track time then any other competitor.

Hope to see you at the track.

Josh

1 Day before the event. Prices increase as the event is closer... Just a heads up.

Better to sign up early. I don't think more then 30 people will show up for this day, so it will basically be a private track day, with transponders included, photography cd from the track and professional driving instruction is available if needed. You really don't want to miss out!

It was not a drift event... Not even close.

It's a normal event just like Speed Ventures/Extreme Speed only difference is, we only allow 50 people for the whole day. We include photography, transponder rentals and we strive for more track time. Since the low amount of people per day, it allows <15 people in a run group. It allows you not to have traffic during the run group which is also focusing on safety. No one around you, you are relaxed and you don't have to worry about someone on your ass/hitting you/your car.

Oh, and we only run three run groups. That means you go on once every 40 minutes. You will for sure have at least eight 20 minute sessions under your belt before you go home, if not, more. Most people end up getting pooped out and tired, they leave by 3. When the amount of people die down, we have open passing and point by groups. Even more track time.
(I have no problems with SV/ES - I have attended their events, just stating the differences)

It was open track from 8a-5pm. Everyone ended up doing at least 8-10 sessions by 3PM, by the time it hit 3:30, the track was wide empty and no one was getting on... Everyone was pooped or already went home..
It was a good time to make some "fun" videos.

8-10 sessions is a lot. Most other events only give 4-5 at most.

I was of course being sarcastic based on the video posted. I had a great time at the event and enjoyed the lack of traffic on the track. Especially considering it was my first event. Jordan was a great instructor!

The only negative for me was that my car (996 C2) did not enjoy the event. Worst-case the engine is done. Wish me luck with that.... I should have brought the M3.
