Try this with your comfort access key ... it's cool

Have you ever established how far away you can open and close your car using the comfort access key?

If you have a convertible it is very cool people turn and wonder what is going on.

Now you can improve that distance by simply using your head (yes your head) as a transmitter. Point your key to your head then see how far your car will respond to open or close your doors or open your roof it is very cool.

At first I did not believe it myself then I tried it and wow it did work.

It's because the brain magnifies the deadly gamma rays. I stopped doing it after developing a prehensile tail which wasn't such a big deal until it started wearing into my leather seats.

I hate comfort access...won't ever get it again.
Can't count how many times I've been stared at by people going by, as I've stood with my finger on the sensor of the door...or trunk...and...nothing.
Finally break down and just use the FOB button.
Unless BMW gave me depleted FOB's, it's not the batteries, car is practically brand new.

CA rules! I know what you mean though. I have tried to open the door a few times with people around and it won't open. Looks like it's not my car for sec. haha.

What really bothers me about CA is that for E90 owners, it does not work on the back doors!!! What a failure. I realized this when I was driving my brother's around for a couple of days earlier this month.

That is so funny ... actually I am now able to work out the most complicated calculus problems ... seams to work for me the other way around.

on my Z4 both rear wheels cracked perhaps I should blame the CA for that ... what you think?

To avoid the deadly gamma rays I always try to use the heads of other unsuspecting soon to be passengers for the trick. Best of both worlds.

I had CA on my Lexus IS and after 2 years of owning the IS not one single hiccup at all from the system.

I did not get CA in my M3 because I know its not as good are the Japanese ones. The less electronic gadgets the better in a German car IMO.

What I like about CA is that the trunk won't lock if you close the lid while the key is inside. That's saved me a couple of calls to roadside assistance.
