Electrochromic Tint?

Does anyone have any experience with electrochromic tint? I think this is what's used on our auto-dimming mirrors. Basically the darkness of the tint is adjustable electronically.

Pretty damn cool, especially for those of us in areas where cops are strict about tint.

You could even put it in front of your license plate like this Lamborghini...

would be cool if u could actually see out of them. Useless if you can't...looks dangerous

Yeah, they have it on the roof of certain Maybachs too. You can't see in/out of them when they're "on". It would be sorta cool to have it covering your license plate though. Yeah, it's probably illegal and anyone who would want it would probably be doing illegal things like blowing by toll stations and whanot.

.....yeah, so I want one.
