^Wow, in the beginning of the vid the camera zoomed in on a guy on his roof watching the surge come in. Towards the end he points the camera back towards the same spot and the two story home was gone. So sad.

For those of you with an iPhone and want to donate, you can purchase Street Fighter IV from 3/15-3/22 for $.99 and proceeds will be donated to a charity. Also, proceeds from Sonic the Hedgehog titles through 3/20 will be donated to Red Cross Disaster Relief.

My god. I have been on a cruise for the past week and finally caught up on all the news. I pray and wish that Mega Man and others stay safe in this time of crisis.

Hey guys- I'm new the forum (I am half Japanese and have many friends and relatives still living in Japan) and I'm glad to see 1addicts ppl already has something up about this! I feel very fortunate to not have lost any friends or family in this incident, but as you can tell, its still pretty bad

I strongly urge everyone to donate anything they can towards the relief efforts!

Two found alive - 9 days after quake

Submitted by Anonymous on Sunday, March 20, 2011 8:03:00 PM - Source: www3.nhk.or.jp

Police rescued 2 people from under debris in Ishinomaki City, Japan on Sunday, 9 days after the initial earthquake and tsunami on March 11th.

Police in Miyagi Prefecture say the 2 are a woman who is about 80 years old and her 16-year-old grandson

Rescue workers say the boy has a low body temperature, but is conscious.

An NHK video shows two people being pulled up by rope to a police helicopter that headed for a Red Cross hospital in Ishinomaki City.

The 2 were found in an area about one kilometer upstream of the mouth of a river. Houses in the area were swept away by the tsunami.

Miyagi was one of the areas worst hit during the twin disasters on March 11, with a confirmed death toll of 4,882.

ROFL that's on the news here every 5 mins (the dog story) - I guess anything to raise the local spirits I was so happy when I saw that tho. They first had the story of JUST finding the dog, who was already uber happy for not floating on a piece of garbage in the ocean, and then they had a second one a few days later about the owner finding it - even more happy. A feel-good story for sure.
