I have the 18's. Didn't see the point in spending the extra from BMW given I always get aftermarket wheels. Stock 18's have around 16k miles on them and are shod with PS2's.

Nope. If there are particular mods you are interested in you can PM me and I can give you a price. These are not stock items thus not included in the stock mod. The items included in the $45,900 are listed as CF front splitter, lighted ZHP knob, and Eibach springs. I may also just end up taking the splitter and ZHP knob off for autotrader as I feel like most people do not appreciate these mods and/or they probably wouldn't know this stuff is not stock or be able to tell the difference.

Removing the aftermarket parts will definitely help you sell the car quicker.

Ping me if you decide to remove the ZHP shift knob. Good Luck

I have three people that claim they are seriously interested but am still waiting to hear back from them. If no buyer by this weekend I am parting her out; already have a buyer for the Dinan mufflers and several interested people in the BBS wheels. I may just end up trading the car in for my next car as it seems it may be the better way to go given the tax credit vs what people are seemingly wanting to buy 2008 M3's for.

Mods don't add value to cars.

I am well aware how much 08's go for. The price I posted is with all mods with a fair aftermarket price. I am pretty confident that if someone wanted to buy my BBS wheels and Dinan mufflers they can be sold pretty easily for a fair price. Having said that I think I may as well just give up on trying to sell the car with the current since it appears no one cares to look at the mods, history, and condition of the car, and only at the year/mileage irregardless of anything else. Looks like the time has come earlier than I thought to just start parting it out so we can compare apples to apples.

Maybe to you. Simple fact of the matter is that there are some people that appreciate them. And for the vast majority, such as yourself, that do not care for them I have no need to just throw the mods in there for free. Like I have always done, I am going to take all the mods off the car and put it back to stock prior to letting the car go. Further, the car will more than likely be traded in because frankly I can get a better trade-in figure on the car than what private buyers are wanting to pay when the tax break is taken into consideration. More than likely the car will be gone in a few weeks on a dealer trade.

Even if it were still for sale, there would be no price drop.

I am only interested in the 997.2 GT3 and did not want to spend $100k on a car right now. Could I have sure, but my wife and I are going to Europe this summer and are also planning on trying to have our first baby starting this summer.

I love the torque and modability of the turbo. I also like creature comforts as well and the turbo is far better in this department. I drove a 997 turbo back in January and the rush from 480hp and 500 torque was just insane. It was truly like having tunnel vision, and I can only imagine what it will be like with more power. Plans for turbo are LED taillights, coil-overs, wheels, exhuast, and then ECU tune. If I get bored of that then I will go with a 750R package. There is just so much that I can do with it to keep me entertained. The GT3 is great on the track, but I won't be tracking all that often. Add to that the fact that the roads around here are bumpy and we are 2700 ft in elevation equals FI makes more sense for me. To each his own though.

the 07 turbo had more features than the 07 gt3? i thought they all have the options (navi, sport chrono). its very interesting you took the elevation in consideration in your car purchasing process, very thorough.

if i were to get a porsche, i want the rawest version possible, hence the gt3 (obsessed with curb weight, hence why I’m ditching the m3). i felt the m3 had plenty of power already, most of which cant even be utilized on public roads.

which you liked better, the 997.1 c2s or e92 m3?

For a daily driver the M3, otherwise C2S for sure. More low end torque, more sporty, better brakes, it is just a more purpose built car than the M3.

On the GT3 vs turbo, by the time you add full leather to the GT3, adaptive seats, PCM, sound package plus, etc I am sure its weight is in the 3150-3200 lb range. Turbo is around 3550. If my object was to buy a track car then the GT3 would be it. But I personally decided I would rather have a 997.1 turbo over a 997.1 GT3. But I would take a 997.2 GT3 over both if money was no object.
