Anyone has any experience with BrenTuning for E92 M3
I'm really close to pulling the trigger for his tune, I want to be part of the 400whp club and so I'm been following him and I'm impressed.
www.BrenTuning.com I just wanted to know if anyone else has his tune and if they can chime in and write their experience. Thank you Ps: my car is full bolt on's and will be using 93 octane and occasional Sunoco race gas 108 octane I believe. |

I've heard good things about him on 335's, not too much for E9x M3.
(meaning that I haven't heard anything about his M3 tunes, not that I've heard bad things wrt M3)

Brendan is a very knowledgable guy. He's tuning a 335i for us at the shop I work at. He knows his stuff. I know he does some awesome stuff with evo's and Sti,s and mini's too. Should give him a call. Deff let us know what you think if you pull the trigger on his tune!

Would you like to explain the M3's version of people's opinion? It would be greatly appreciated. PM me if you prefer |

I have seen his dyno results on his dyno and they do look impressive. In fact, they are significantly better than any other tuner has been able to achieve. However, I have never seen one backed up by a dyno on a dynojet.

No. I did consider it and did communicated with Bren, who is obviously pretty knowledgeable and he provided me with some good advice about high flow cats and other mods.
I ended up going with the Vishnu water/meth tune. The octane enhancement allows more ignition timing and that makes more power. Without the octane enhancement, I do not think higher ignition targets can be maintained consistently. I think the car drives great and pulls hard under any condition. Have not been to a dyno so I have no test results for you. You can find some Vishnu testing results here in this forum if you do some searching. Hopefully, I will go soon. If you want to come up to NH, you can drive it. I did about $3k worth of mods and am very happy with the car the way it is now. Top Speed X-Pipe modded with four resonators so it is civilized, used underdrive crank pulley, K&N air filter, Vishnu tune with meth injection, H&R Sport springs, clutch stop, clutch helper spring delete, braided brake lines, and upgraded brake pads. And full maintenance like all fluids, filters, plugs, etc. |

Bren is a great guy and his shop is home of the highest hp naturally aspirated E9X M3's. He has hit over 400whp with multiple cars (provided they have the proper bolt ons), and is currently playing around with E85 on his own personal M3. Give him a shout, I highly recommend him - you will get more power out of his custom tunes than any off the shelf generic tune.
Oh and fwiw, DONT get a vishnu piggyback for this car - better off with a flash. |

You guys are lucky on the east coast to have 93 octane!
It's a downhill battle with 91

The E85 tune should be great for this high compression motor. Nearest E85 station to me is over an hour, unfortunately. The Vishnu meth tune works great. Drive my car and you will become a believer. I don't think any pump gas tune will make as much power as can be made with a meth tune. Meth really helps these high compression motors (which is why I think E85 would work great). Race gas is too expensive to burn all the time. |

I have meth on my m3 to cool the IAT to prevent heatsoak with the blower, trust me I know how beneficial it is. I also had a 335 with JB4 and procede, and I know exactly how it works. That being said, I would much rather have a custom dynotune flashed into my ECU by Bren then have a piggyback/meth setup by Shiv.
Also, his dyno reads right in line with other dynojets. He uses shootout mode and doesnt skew the results with absurd correction factors. |

Brendan is one of the most knowledgeable tuners out there and that's what you should be looking for in anyone tuning your vehicle. He really understands what is going on with the engine and how to safely increase power.
I have a 135 and he's tuned all of my friends' cars, M3s(e36, e46 & e92)CLK63s, SL55s....not ONE SINGLE hiccup! His personal M3 puts down almost 430whp! His cars consistently make more power than the competition. If you're able to travel up, this weekend, it's a great time for a visit. There's 2 events up here on Sunday if you want to see his work for yourself. PM me & I'll give you my #. Good Luck with your choice. |

Awesome! Thank you all for giving me your experiences with Bren Tuning
This Thread Turned out exactly how I wanted it to. Very informative. At first I was unable to find anything on his tune in this forum. Hopefully this will prove helpful for someone else considering him. I'll keep you guys updated once it's all done. ✌ |
