Close Call with Idiot Motorcycle
So its Harley Motorcycle night in the city tonight, they use the night to drink heavily and ride, two things that do not mix at all. (I like motorcycles don't get me wrong I own two of them, Not Harleys) So I am headed home after leaving work and grabbing a bite to eat around 930. I'm on the main road doing 45 in a 40 pretty decent traffic for that time with a lot of bikes. I was cruising pretty good hitting all the green lights taking in the sounds of the car and radio. When I approach the next green light. As I am approaching the intersection in the lane that has the yield about 40 feet in front of me I hear this bike down shift and get heavy on the throttle and flys right out in front of me, I missed hitting him and possibly killing them (Weren't wearing helmets) by 3 feet. All in what seemed slow motion I knew I had about a car length to get in to the middle lane ( I Constantly observe my surroundings all the time for situational awareness). I swerved into the middle lane, downshifted and got on the gas (to avoid cutting off the other car) as he about lost control of his bike and passenger. We both caught the next light and its a burly couple on a Wide Glide, she begins chewing my ass out and then SPIT on my car WTF If it had not been for the way I reacted they both would have replaced the Roundel as my hood ornament. I just got done cleaning the car and can hear all their dam bikes while I'm sitting on the deck and its pissing me off
Sorry for the rant

You must be in Eastern PA somewhere...? It is 45 degrees and raining in Pittsburgh... not that they wouldn't ride here, but I def wouldn't be on the deck.

Should have got out, pushed them and the bike over, jumped back in your car and left.

Nice to hear another ///M owner in or around York. I am from york and experienced the same traffic tonight coming home from work. Luckily did not have the same interaction with the bikers. Sorry to hear and glad you, your car and the bikers (lucky for them) are ok. Btw I drive 2011 E92 silverstone.. I never see any other M's around.

WOW! Sorry to hear this and damn glad your aviation skills have taught you to drive with complete awareness of everything around you or the outcome would have been different.
Glad to hear you and that fine M3 of yours are safe! Cheers, Chris

Should have hit them... From your story seems like it would have been there fault and with all the alcohol in there system the police would have easily deemed it to be there fault...

I find the "kicking their ass" comments entertaining. In Texas there is a reasonably good chance that the guy you're approaching has a gun........

Props to you for avoiding an accident and exercising restraint. I'm sure it wasn't easy... But as others have said, you never really know what someone else has on them, etc. That being said, I probably would have reached for my water bottle or something to throw at the dirty ho!
