Looks like the starting price is going to be $47,450. I will definitely be test driving one in November.

So somebody educate me on MBs....Are the AMG versions of their cars fairly well optioned out or will the actual price of this car be $55,000+ with some basic options?

- Hand-built AMG 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine
- 355 horsepower, 332 lb-ft of torque, 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds Thing is a little rocket. Wouldn't mind owning one... |

Just not feeling a 355hp fwd car with the rear wheels powered only when needed (which seems likely anytime you press the gas pedal). I'm sure they'll give it a valiant try, but this just seems to spell new levels of understeer.
It will be interesting to see if AMG beefs up the rear half shafts to be near the size of the fronts. The Golf R uses a similar Haldex setup and you can buy controllers that put more power to the rear, but the rear half shafts are tiny. |

MB quoted 3,100 pounds for the A45, but looking at the UK site, they list the A180 as 1,395 kg, or 3,075 pounds and the A220CDI as 1,525 kg or heavier than the C250, which is listed as 3,428 lbs on MB USA. So I'm not sure I believe the low estimate.

3100lbs woul be great. I'm hoping it's closer to that and not a 328i.

Nice specs, ugly car. And that best buy intalled Garmin screen is awful. I rather have nothing than that thing....
And again until Mercedes will not offer 12years anti-corosive warranty, I will not even looking at it. Not for that money. |

I really can't see anything wrong with it. Why do some people think it is ugly? Looks well proportioned and interesting from every angle. maybe white is too in your face for some?
By the way, this is what BMW is considering in response: http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/ne...w-junior-m-car |

I believe that this car is going to be very popular. Not a bad price, and looks great too. I plan to test drive as well, and I do not doubt that I will love it. Let's see!
