You don't want to do that... In the words of Richard Hammond: "Don't you know that criticism like that could hurt sales?!" ;-)

true fact #1: most automotive vendors/shops are shit.
true fact #2: most automotive enthusiast are brand whore biased idiots who think the way they mod their car is unique but its just trash.
true fact #3: your freedom of speech is non-existent on a private forum such as bimmerpost, mods and admins have the right to delete/alter post to their likings, usually favoring vendors to sell their junk.
true fact #4: realize these true and get over it.

Can you elaborate what is this particular situation with PG? I used to participate in many threads with him.

it's also really hard to fake good service on the internet. vendors who just get people to shill for them are really obvious, and you can't keep the internet down forever. when i shop for a vendor i try to find those where an overwhelming number of people express complete happiness with them, and if anyone says there's a problem, they report back very quickly saying that it was taken care of satisfactorily.

it sometimes means you won't get the best price, but i'm happier doing business with stand-up people than getting a few bucks off. this strategy has led me to the doors of companies like IND and Velos that prove the reputation they've earned on this forum with every interaction.

Yes and no. It really depends on the ratio of good to bad. I even had a vendor tell me Thursday that these things don't happen at their company yet I guess I was the unlucky soul that it happened to. So either I have the worst luck of any individual and these vendors are just that great or these things are happening but are being suppressed.

I'm curious of what you mean by a "bad experience" because it is different for everyone. I've dealt with 3 vendors (JLevi SW, iND, and SonicMS) and all have been great people and delivered what they promised. To some people a bad experience is getting a product 3 days later than they were supposed to, but I could care less as long as they respond and explain why it's taking longer. This thread is ridiculous... telling people you've had bad experiences, but not saying who or why. You have 6,000 posts, I'm sure you're that customer that people hate dealing with and can easily have a bad experience

I'm glad that you're willing to take whatever a vendor give you regardless of what they've promised. More power to ya.

I however, take a vendor's word that they will provide the parts and service as they've told me prior to taking my money. I can live with whatever I'm told as long as it's the truth.

Awesome! I honestly hope you're not disappointed with the sound of the Akra. It's just so tame compared to the Eisenmann especially since you're going from the race and not the sport.
