That's not just the headers. If you read closely, you'll see that they are swapping the cats as well. Plus, the quoted number might actually include the entire exhaust system, and not just the header and cat swap.

The argument was 20hp.

Its has been proven by many M5board members and dynos, that headers provide at least +20hp gains.

RPI headers with dynos, provide +28whp and +31wtq. And yes that is headers ONLY.

When the M5 folks swap just the headers (and I'll take your word for it that that is the ONLY hardware difference between the dyno runs), do you know if they are reflashing the ECU? As to the manufacturers specs, I don't trust any of it unless the results are independently verified.

the m5s headers look FAR more restrictive...and i believe all those headers for it do remove the cats or put in some sort of high flow? either way the exhaust system on these cars are VERY restrictive past the headers...

We will have a couple of Header options available for the S65 soon.

The next addition to the line of performance options for the S65 V8 motor that powers the current M3 model is going to be two different types of Performance Tubular Exhaust Manifolds. These equal length headers are built entirely by hand out of 304 stainless or Inconel depending on what option you decide to go with. Each runner is painstakingly TIG welded and its diameter and length are designed to deliver the best mix of mid-range torque and top end horsepower. The merge collectors are true works of art, and are also entirely hand built and TIG welded.

The RDSport Headers are the result of many hours of engine dyno tuning and will work best when installed with our Metal Matrix Sport Catalytic Converters and our Engine Management Software.

I was expecting you to say that they work best when paired with the stroker kit.
