Did you do a M3 new car scan on www.cars.com? Sort by year, with 2008 at the top. There are quite a few 08s still left at dealers around the country (more coupes and convertibles than sedans though).

I used Autotrader. I should have used Cars.com but it's not in my cache. I'll check it out now. Thanks. $15-20k off on a nicely equipped sedan is what I was looking for, and I love the Melbourne Red in the sedan.

Yes, there are a number of them at dealers in California, among other places.

Do a search with www.cars.com for new M3s, and then sort by year, putting 2008 at the top. Scroll thru the listings and you will see a number of convertibles with DCT. Click on the dealer website to see if the cars are still there. I did it with one of the dealers in California, and saw 3 M3 convertibles with DCT.

Called the dealers they lie on Cars.com put in specs so you will call. No DCT's at any of those dealers.

I'm looking for a red with tan (not on the dash, though) or a gray, silver, or blue with black leather interior and nav.

Otherwise, it's all gravy.

I'm with you and that's exactly what I'm looking for. So far, all I'm seeing is cars in the low 60's, which is insane given you can pick them up at auction in the 40's with less than 5000 miles on them.

I just picked up my new 2008 melbourne red sedan today from a dealer out of state (3 states away).

Don't be discouraged by the posted internet prices. These deals are real.

The original price posted on the internet for my car, fully loaded, was in the low $60's. The final negotiated price was $53,000 (plus TTL).

I assume you are open a 2009 demo because of price? Otherwise, I see zero benefit. Any demo is likely abused.

BMW of Dallas has a pair of "automatic" tranny '08 verts. One is JB/Black (7 miles) while the other is Silverstone/Black (34 miles). GL

BMW of Dallas is cool! I test drove a '09 JB M3 Coupe with barely any options, and it was priced at an MSRP of about $62K. It was super-nice and I'm pretty sure it's still available. I would've gone for it, but I really wanted the sedan.

But if you can 'reach', there's nothing quite like ordering exactly what you desire.

And yes, I paid up for it. But I'm not a new car snob, as I have bought low mileage Bimmers previously. So I really enjoyed being able to spec out my my car this time.

Good hunting to all those looking for a good deal on 08s, but now 09s - which I just bought. Bad timing? No, for I'll never get that early summer driving experience in my new M3 tootling through Bavaria and France again.

Excuse my ignorance as I've never purchased an older year model, but if you purchased an 08 m3 today, how does the warranty work? 4 years from date of purchase or from the original manufacture date?
