Indicated Speed
Guys and girls, I am wondering if anyone has access to a LIDAR unit? I am thinking that my speedo is reading at about 5k's below indicated, so 120kph is actually 115ks, just wondering if anyone has one, or knows where I can rent/buy one? I also fly model aircraft so wanting to get one to measure model aircraft speed runs too. Happy for you to PM me if you like.

Why does the actual speed differ from the speed shown on your cars speedometer?
The German traffic regulations (StVZO) states that the actual speed may not lie below the really driven ones. The actual speed may exceed real driven speed, however, only by max. 10% + 4 km/h above (§57 paragraph 2 StVZO, 75 / 443 / European Economic Community, ECE-R39). The speedometer may never register less then allowed speed limits.

According to a QLD police Radar gun. My M3 is traveling at 136km/h when cruise control is set to 140.
Don't ask how I know this. In general. All car speedos read a couple % higher than your actual speed. |

You can code the digital speed to read true speed by changing BC_DIGITAL_V_KORREKTUR to “nicht_aktiv” in KOMBI ecu. That way you can see the difference exactly. Both Analog & digital read high when compared to true speed unless coded.
