The 335i Dinan is a great car but no M3 on many levels. I had a 335 juiced up so I know what it can do.
I was wondering about that 335i, the DINAN rep was going off on it, saying that it was faster than the M3. But I guess you just answered my question. I just sent my ECU today as well to AA, just hope the postal office don't lose it. (knock on wood) I'm sure that ECU in not cheap

The top Dinan 335 tune is prob as faster or faster than an M3 but that is just it. Doesn't brake, no LSD, poor suspension even the Dinan one.

And when the turbo goes or an injector fails our engines just keep on purring.

I'll take the M3 10 times out of 10.

335 is a great bang for your buck and that is not a bad thing.

A lot of smart 335 tuner guys buy all the M3 suspension parts and retrofit their 335.

I'm very eager to see the results of the software upgrades locally. Dinan definitely is tempting since I can get it done locally without having my car out of action for a week. I want to go completely catless and no resonator. I wonder if I get the Dinan Flash if they can stop the car from throwing codes from not having any cats.

Anyone see the $80k Dinan 335i at Edmonton BMW. They sure were insistent that it was worth it.
You to Jackolo? The "Dinan guy" from Edmonton BMW (who ridiculously over charges on everything dinan) kept on going on and on about their dinan 335i when my M3 was in. Made me chuckle, let me put $20,000 into my M3 and we will see how your 335i stands up. Hell for that much you can almost do their stroker engine.

If you are going to go through the trouble of putting in the M suspension in a 335 then why the hell did they buy the car? Could you imagine the cost of that?

I'm really happy with the results. No drone. No drama until you go past 3500rpm with a spirited foot. Then the "european" raspy sound comes out

I think it feels faster but who knows. It was 9 degrees & raining when I came home so that probably affected my impression somewhat.

Also shed about 20lbs or so in the process.

I think I see a pulley & a tune in my future........
Hehe Scott, this thread has ruined a lot of people. The mod bug is a pandemic in Edmonton right now and is threatening to spread. Can't wait to hear your car on Friday

Maybe next week when my car is in for stereo install I will send it away. Is the car completely non-functional when the ECU is out?

Dead in the water so they won't even have accessory power.

Gotta push it to move it.

Can you push a car with DCT if the battery is basically unhooked?

I have narrowed it down to these two rim choices

1)http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...advan+pictures
2)http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...an+rims&page=4 The AVS F7

Haha, this modding has got to end....

True, I can wait it out for a bit...

Ya, we need to have a meet sometime soon Glenn. Even a mini one on a week night for a quick meet and greet. Me and Davy (Fentanyl) are good buddies already and Scott is awesome so it is time for us to all get together!

Good call, I don't see any F7's on the forum! I am stuck that's for certain. I kind of like the lip a little, looks aggressive! Haha...

+1

That's when me and Sparkyg gets our ECU back, unless we try to push it.
