FB0 F80 vs E90 625kit

So my good friend Zack plummer and I went to the wanna Go fast 1/2 mile event at heavens landing, in Clayton GA. I must say it was very well organized unlike what we saw in ocala. Of course we had to finally settle our battle of who would win in a drag race.

Uphill claim runway at a elevation of 3200 ft above sea level

2015 f80 m3 DCT 15k miles highest trap of the day 151
ER down pipes
Custom exhuast from down pipe back
Burger Charge pipes and intake
Snow performance Meth kit
JB4
car on MS109
rear seat removed
KW sleeve kit
295/30 R888s rear
540whp 540wtq dyno jet

2009 E90 M3 DCT 85k miles highest trap of the day 149
ACM test Pipe to delete only the primary cats (secondaries still in place)
OEM 4 pipe muffler mod by Meister motoring
ESS 625kit Blower with the factory pulley 7 psi
Frank smith tune
car on pump for first race
Broadway static coil overs
Forge star f14s 19x10s 19x11 295/30 R888s
522whp 329wtq

First Dig race

We pass the camera 3/4 way of the track f80 is a head by a 1/2 a cars length but is passed by merely a bumper at the end of the run

Second dig race we pass the camera 3/4 way of the track e90 is a head by a 1/2 cars length but is passed by the f80 by a fender right at the finish. mixed in ms109 on the last run with pump gas on the e90

F80 trapped higher on the last run odly enough the e90 left the whole each time harder than the F80 despite the tq and weight difference. the F80 recovers the distance off the line mid run. would be interesting to see these two go head to head at the 1/4 mile.

Unfortunately the elevation hurt you but not the turbo F80.

You were likely not 7psi at 3,200 feet. From what I understand, our cars suffer a drop of 0.5 psi (or more) for every 1,000 feet in altitude above sea level. If you do this event again, I would recommend a smaller pulley/belt to get you to 7psi at that elevation. Maybe a 9psi sea level pulley.

Yea... altitude tends to hurt NA and supercharged cars more than turbocharged. The lower the altitude the more competitive the Supercharged E90 will be.

Actually pretty impressed an FBO F80 is that fast.

Yeah we knew that going it I would be down on power but I said I want to see what my car would do. I don't plan on changing anything but adding a ice tank. I'm happy that is how my dd is running. I may get my tune redone later on to add back in a few more degree of timing we took out before.

Torque is only relevant on cars that can actually put the power down

Well funny enough he didn't do any spinning. I think what the difference is, how we both make power. at redline he has lost 100whp where I have gained almost 70whp from the time we hit it. We are both dct so he has to shift early to keep his car in it's power band. the min we get to an area where he must stay in it til redline I normally pass him.

Well don't ask ESS for a smaller pulley

Yeah there's a thread on general, in where ASBSECU E93 had an unfortunate encounter with a namelESS brand about buying a single part from a different kit (correct me if I'm wrong guys). But there's definitely more to situation than that.

I'm just curious to know what would have been the outcome if the E90 was running the Harrop kit? On the fence between the ESS 625 vs. the Harrop.
